My dissertation is based on an ancient Iranian book called, “ Ajayebol Makhloghat and Gharayebol Mojoodat” which translates “ Extra Ordinary Creatures and Freaky Existence”. It is a book about unusual and weird creatures in the world, but I chose some of the creatures to re-design. This book originally is by, “ Muhamad- ebne- Mahmood Hamedani” and it has been expanded by other authors based on hear and say. It was used as a sort of an encyclopedia that some of the creatures are real and some imaginary. My dissertation mainly is based on the imaginary creatures like ghouls. It is necessary to explain that the washed out appearance is because of the style to create ancient look. The illustration, lay out and designing the cover is by me.
